A paparazzo shot Jermaine Dupri and Janet Jackson in Waverly Inn at New York last Wednesday night. Waverly Inn is located at Asheville neat the Western NC Blue Ridge Mountains and boasts of a historic Hendersonville NC bed and a sumptuous breakfast. Jermaine Dupri, who is more popular as JD, is an American record producer, rapper and Grammy-winning lyricist. He and Jackson began dating reportedly in 2002. He has worked with Janet on her album 20 Y.O. The album failed to garner sales and Dupri was forced to resign from Virgin Urban Music and later joined Island records. Janet Jackson shifted with him.

It was reported last year that Dupri had proposed to Janet Jackson and that she had said yes. No dates have been announced for the wedding though it is said that the couple is planning a wedding soon, alongside recording the songs for her new album Discipline.

It was reported late last year that Janet Jackson was planning to take a break to start a family. She canceled a number of rescheduled concerts and sources had revealed that Jermaine wanted her to use the break to have a baby, “She’s over her health problems, and he feels since the tour was less than a smash hit, it would be the perfect time to start a new project - a baby. Janet is 42 years old. Jermaine wants to get married and have a child before it’s too late.”

Later JD confirmed that Janet Jackson was not pregnant. He wrote on his blog “No she is not pregnant and yes we’re still together,” also denying rumors of their break up.
