Jane Lynch Receives Emmy For ‘Glee’ Role

The comedian plays the role of Sue Sylvester on the show. She went on stage and gave a strange, yet funny speech that made her one of the hot searches on the web ever since. Jane Lynch also appeared in the pre-taped segment that opened the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards.

After winning the award, Jane Lynch said that winning the award was an outlandish feeling. She started off by thanking her parents who she described as unintentionally hilarious. She also explained that she loved to a part of the ensemble even though she could not identify with anything as such. She then went on to say that being an actor was like being a Buddhist, but quickly clarified that she was not one by religion.

In the pre-taped segment, Jane Lynch appeared as Sue Sylvester and threw a glass of red liquid on Jimmy Fallon and Tine Fey. In ‘Glee’ Sue Sylvester is known for the politically incorrect and often homophobic remarks. Jane lynch has described her character as being ‘pure evil and does not hide it’. She is seen on the show as the arch nemesis of the ‘Glee’ club and is often seen engaging in inappropriate behavior with the minors. Among other winners at the Emmy’s, Eric Stonestreet of ‘Modern Family’ also gave a hilarious and short speech saying that all he wanted to become was a clown in a circus. ‘Modern
