Baby-boom being the new buzzword in tinsel town, it hardly comes as a huge surprise, that the Jim Carrey family’s gearing up to welcome it’s very own little guest. But this time round however, Jim Carrey isn’t gonna be the daddy… Better still, Hollywood’s celebrated rubber-faced funnyman is all set to become a granddaddy!

Carrey’s 21 year-old daughter Jane is expecting her very first child with boyfriend and reportedly now fiance, Alex Santana. Santana’s claim to fame, happens to be his very own rock band called ‘Blood Money’ where he goes by the name ‘Nitro’. Jane herself, heads a band that, is less than imaginatively called ‘The Jane Carrey Band’.

Jane Erin Carrey is Jim Carrey’s daughter by Melissa Womer, former actress, whose marriage to Jim lasted for about eight years. The couple were together from 1987-1995, during which time Jane was born. Jim Carrey is currently with his longtime partner Jenny McCarthy, who he has been with, since December 05.

Sources close to the couple claim that, they’re now engaged and that apparently they’re absolutely “thrilled at becoming parents”. Reportedly, the prospect of brand new parenthood is one that the young couple find extremely exciting.

Would be granddad, Jim himself appears to be excited at the very idea of having his first grandchild. The extremely talented ‘Bruce Almighty’ star personally confirmed to E! News that he was “very excited” with the turn of events. He went on to announce that Jane was in fact “ecstatic”. Doting daddy Carrey, even went as far as to say that, his little girl was “going to be a great mom”.
