Jamie Waylett, the 19 year old actor, who plays the role of Hogwarts bully, Vincent Crabbe in the Harry Potter films, has been lately charged for growing cannabis plants. The 19 year old, is supposed to appear in the court later this month for allegedly growing as many as ten cannabis plants.
This is not the only time that the actor had a tiff with the law. Jamie Waylett was first arrested in April after police halted his Audi car in Westminster, in Central London. The police reportedly discovered eight bags of Class B drugs, thus arresting the actor for possessing drugs.
The actor who has appeared as a tubby villain in all of the six Harry Potter movies was dragged to a nearby police station. After questioning the alleged actor, a group of officers raided his mother’s three-storeyed building in Camden, North London. Reports suggested that further drugs were discovered from the home.
The actor was later guaranteed bail on Tuesday as the charges against him were lodged. This means that Waylett has to appear in the court in order to avoid serious punishment. When asked about the recent controversy regarding Waylett, a metropolitan police spokes woman said, “Jamie Waylett is due to appear at City of Westminster magistrates court later this month. He is charged with a Class B drug, namely ten plants of Cannabis.”
Police has allegedly seized at least ten mature cannabis plants valued at about two thousand pounds, which were growing alongside the actor’s DJ equipment and a games console. According to Home Office Guidelines, the maximum punishment for Cannabis production can be up to 14 years of imprisonment.
