London, Oct 3 (ANI): Brit chef Jamie Oliver, nicknamed The Naked Chef, is said to have eaten sheep’s penis and intestine during a visit to an American Indian tribe.

Oliver, 34, who is travelling the length and breadth of the US in search of interesting recipes, was in Arizona filming his new programme Jamie’s American Road Trip, when he tried the traditional delicacies.

The Essex-born chef, who is married to lifelong sweetheart Jules, 35, visited a Navajo reservation, where an almost-extinct group of American Indians live.

The father of three was offered the bizarre dishes by the tribe, who have been eating them for more than a thousand years, and he washed it all down with a traditional sumac-berry soup, followed by blue corn pancakes.

Afterwards, the tribe taught him how to make offerings of corn to the Morning Gods and gave him a pipe full of “legally grown” herbs as a gift.

“Jamie makes no secret of the fact he has a big appetite and will try any kind of food,” the Telegraph quoted a show insider as saying.

“But even for him eating a sheep’s penis and intestines was testing - it was like a challenge off of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

“But like a true professional he got on with it, and actually quite enjoyed the taste in the end,” the insider added. (ANI)
