Dec. 02, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Jamie Lee Darley was ousted from the “Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show” by Kylie Bisutti, or rather, by the online voters who voted Bisutti into winning. However, that does not stop the model from smiling and enjoying all the attention she is receiving. It was a big thing for her to reach up to the finals. She got to walk the ramp alongside supermodels like Marissa Miller, Doutzen Kroes and even Heidi Klum, the other Angels of “Victoria’s Secret”.

The 23 year old model hails from Carmel in California. She admits that she had always been a rather tomboyish person, and with some help from her father, who owned a construction company, she became an expert at tiling bathroom floors at a pretty young age. She admits that though she always wanted to be one, it was really farthest from anyone’s imagination that the gangly, sporty girl would ever become a supermodel. Darley admits that participating in the fashion show was a her way of getting back at all the kids in her neighborhood who taunted her for her gawkiness as she grew up.

Jamie Lee was working as a waitress after she relocated to Los Angeles in order to pursue her dream of becoming a supermodel. However, she hardly ever received any positive feedback, with the agencies rejecting her for being too tall or to curvy. Finally, she chose to give “Victoria’s Secret” a try. Though she did not win, she has no hard feelings against her final competitor, with whom she is best friends. Although slightly disappointed, she feels that she had given her best in order to win the race.
