Jamie Foxx woos women by playing cello!
September 24th, 2009 - 2:36 pm ICT by ANIWashington, Sept 24 (ANI): Actor Jamie Foxx found it difficult to learn the cello for ‘The Soloist’ until he realised that he could impress girls with the instrument.
The Oscar winner plays the role of a homeless cello prodigy Nathanial Ayers in ‘The Soloist’, where he was required to learn the instrument.
“He learnt how to play the cello and he practised for six months. He was not fully committed for the first few weeks and then he discovered that girls quite like it when fellas play classical musical instruments and that upped his game,” Contactmusic quoted Director Joe Wright as saying.
Meanwhile, the Ray star recently confessed that he is still to get over the fact that his biological parents abandoned him.
Foxx was given up when just seven months old and was raised by his mother’s adoptive parents.
The actor said he does not understand why he was rejected, especially when he revels in the love from his own daughter, 13-year-old Corinne. (ANI)
