Jamie Foxx to turn ‘Laverne and Shirley’ into a movie
March 24th, 2010 - 8:42 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )London, March 24 (IANS) Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx is set to turn 1970s hit television comedy series “Laverne and Shirley” into a movie with Jessica Biel and Jennifer Garner in lead roles.
Garry Marshall, who directed the series, has revealed he is working on the new project with Foxx, reported contactmusic.com
“Jamie and I are trying to do it. He’s writing it. Jennifer Garner would play Laverne and Jessica Biel would play Shirley,” said Marshall.
The original comedy, which ran from 1976 to 1983, featured Penny Marshall as Laverne and Cindy Williams as Shirley and was nominated for six Golden Globe awards.
