Sep 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Jamie Fox looks all set to make his way into primetime again with an all new show. A show with the working title ‘Jamie Foxx Series’ has been picked up by the Fox Network. Reports suggest that the show will be a sketch comedy series that will consist of half hour episodes. The show will be debuting in the 2010-11 primetime season.

The insiders have revealed that the show will be on the lines of ‘In Living Color’ which Jamie Foxx starred in from 1991 to 1994. The Oscar winning actor will be serving as the executive producer of the show. Producing the show will be Affion Crockett. He is known for his spoofs on Tiger Woods and Jay Z. The show is expected to offer the a new range of comedy which includes spoofs of movies and commercials. It will, reportedly, be a take on pop culture and celebrities by the young comedians of today. The show is also expected to have a number of A-list celebrity appearances.

Fox, President of Entertainment, Kevin Reilly said in a statement that he is happy to have Jamie Foxx back on the network as it was in Fox that he first reached stardom. He also called Jamie Foxx a powerhouse as an actor as well as a producer. He added that Jamie Foxx’s genius combined with the new age and outrageous comedy styles of Affion Crockett is sure to be a next wave of sketch comedy. The show is also expected to be a platform for young and upcoming comedians in the business.
