Jamie Foxx signs on for ‘Zebra Murders’

The plot revolves around a series of racially motivated serial killings — black on white — that took place in San Francisco in 1973 and 1974.
Foxx will be playing the role of real-life cop Sanders, who was one of two black police detectives who led the team that cracked the case, reports Variety.
The movie will also tell how Sanders and his partner fought harassment within the police department as they carried out their investigation. The duo also organized a union of minority policemen who brought a lawsuit against the city for discrimination, which they ultimately won.
Sanders went on to become chief of police.
Brad Pitt and Dede Gardner will be producing through their Plan B shingle along with Foxx and Jaime Rucker King.
Jeremy Kleiner, Marcus King and Shelby Stone will exec produce.
“Zebra Murders” will be distributed worldwide by DreamWorks/Paramount. (ANI)
