Washington, June 15 (ANI): Jamie Foxx has put wandering minds to rest by saying that his steamy kiss with Halle Berry at a recent awards ceremony was just a joke.

The actor had raised eyebrows when he shared a passionate kiss with the former Bond girl, after presenting her with the Hottest Girl On the Planet Award at Spike TV’s second Annual Guy’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles.

The Oscar-winner insists that the embrace was just a joke masterminded by the stunning actress herself.

“It was a joke. First, I want to let everybody know that I respect Halle Berry and I respect her relationship,” Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

“But after she won the (2001) Oscar, Adrien Brody came up and laid a little tongue on her. So she decided to get me back, which I didn’t mind at all,” he added.

Foxx further confessed that he was a bundle of nerves before pulling the prank.

“I almost froze but I said, ‘Think quick Foxx,’ and I got into it… she really gave it to me and I appreciate that,” he said. (ANI)
