Jamey Johnson Performs “Macon” In CMT Awards

Jamey Johnson The CMT Music Awards saw a horde of performances from the who’s who of the musical scenario of the United States.

One of the most notable performances was that of Jamey Johnson, who performed his brand new single for the first time before a live audience. However, it was notable not only because of this factor. It was also because his was one of the few performances in the Country Music Television Awards that featured a new singer.

Generally, the CMT Awards are known for honoring the old and steadfast singers, and not for showcasing the comparatively newer talents in the musical field. In that respect, Jamey Johnson is a really new singer, just one album old in the scenario.

In the Country Music Television’s awards, Jamey Johnson performed his brand new single, Macon, from his latest double album, The Guitar Songs. The album is all set for a release in September of this year, and this is the first time that the singer performed the song before a live audience. In the CMT Awards, Jamey Johnson sang the single Macon from his latest album. For so long, the song had been available on the net, and listeners had given it rave reviews, just like the other songs in his debut album.

On June 9, Jamey Johnson’s performance of the song was highly applauded in the audience. It became quite obvious that all he hype that was being generated was not for nothing, and it can be very well said that the song is going to be hugely appreciated once it hits the stands.
