James Mcavoy Likely To Portray Bond Creator Ian Fleming In Upcoming Biopic

James McavoyJan 3, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Scottish actor James Mcavoy is all set to play the lead role in an upcoming movie based on the life of James Bond creator Ian Fleming, sources reveal. Reportedly, the 30 year actor has been approached by the producers of the 40-million-dollar movie to edge the role of Ian Fleming.

According to sources, the film is going to be produced by the joint collaboration of Palmstar Entertainment and Animus Films and is the film adaptation of Andrew Lycett’s much acclaimed book ‘Ian Fleming: The Man Behind James Bond’. The biopic would showcase the life of Ian Fleming, who is known to be the creator of the character of the super spy James Bond. Ian Fleming penned down 12 thrilling novels, which were later turned into films. At the same time, it has been revealed that the upcoming movie would highlight the years spent by the much renowned author as the Director of Naval Intelligence, which later contributed immensely in helping him to edge the character of the British top secret Agent, 007. Although the scripting process of the film has already commenced with Matt Brown being in charge of the script, the director of the magnum opus biopic has not been decided as yet.

Meanwhile, the Scottish actor who is known to be part of films such as ‘Atonement’, ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’ among others, is also about to start shooting for upcoming flicks like ‘I’m With Cancer’ and sequel to his 2008 action movie ‘Wanted’. However, it is being presumed that being a part of such a high profile biopic is an opportunity that the actor surely would not miss.
