James Gandolfini breaks into laughter during Broadway performance
June 11th, 2009 - 5:45 pm ICT by ANILondon, June 11 (ANI): American actor James Gandolfini was forced to apologise after he broke into fits of laughter during his Broadway performance.
The former ‘Sopranos’ star had to repeat a scene for matinee comedy titled ‘God Of Carnage’ - about two warring couples - when he and co-star Hope Davis forgot their lines and couldn’t stop laughing about it.
Davis, whose character was about to vomit, buried her head in a bowl while Gandolfini turned his back to the audience, reports Daily Express.
Trying to regain his composure, Gandolfini said to the crowd, “Hey guys, sorry, but we’re gonna have to start this over.”
Gandolfini’s ongoing run in God of Carnage marks his first return to the Broadway stage since 1992, when he enjoyed a six-month stint in a production of On the Waterfront. (ANI)
