James Gandolfini all set to return to HBO

Los Angeles, May 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) There are speculations that James Gandolfini might be returning back to HBO, as part of a comedy series. This is going to be James first major TV role after ‘The Sopranos’ called it quits, 3 years ago in 2007. HBO is planning to make an adaptation of the French-Canadian series ‘Taxi 22’ and it seems like there is going to be a major role in it for James. ‘Desperate Housewives’ and Sherri’s Dave Flebotte is going to write and produce the series.

In the adaptation, the Emmy winner would portray a politically incorrect New York cab driver. He has won three Emmy awards, till date for his performance in the show ‘The Sopranos’. This show was said to be one of the best TV series of all time. The Sopranos was telecast on the TV from 1999 to 2007, and it heralded a newfound respect for James Gandolfini, for his brilliant portrayal on the show.

After ‘The Sopranos’ the 48 year old James has also produced the HBO documentary, which was called ‘Alive Day Memories: Home From Iraq’, and he was also a part of the Tony winning play which was called ‘Gods of Carnage’.
