avatarThere has been whispered utterances about this for almost a decade and a half now and finally the news has burst all over the place that James Cameron’s long awaited dream child “Avatar” is going to see the light of the day. Just a day in advance to the previews for the screen venture hitting the Imax theaters worldwide, the trailer for the same made its appearance on the website of Apple.

The two minute long clip of the trailer is made available online in both the HD and regular format. In the trailer, newcomer Sam Worthington of the “Terminator Salvation” fame is shown as a being a paraplegic who is linked to an alien life form, while he lives on in the planet Pandora.

The movie is touted to be an absolute visual extravaganza and intends to change the way we watch films. The big budget sci-fi follows the life of the war veteran essayed by Worthington, who is sent off to a distant planet (Pandora) in an effort to help establish a human settlement, even though he is absolutely unwilling to be a part of the entire operation. Upon reaching Pandora, he finds himself amidst a battle that is waging between the planet’s native alien race of Na’vi and the human infiltrators.

Cameron has supposedly pioneered special effects such a class apart, henceforth never seen in the dimension of cinema. The 3D effects are said to be so classy that they transport the viewer to a different realm where they live the out of this world experience.
