alg_avatar_cameron_cast Los Angeles, Jan 15 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Titanic director James Cameron who has also directed the blockbuster Avatar, has revealed that he plans to make 2 sequels to the movie. He wants to make the whole series as a trilogy. He also talked about the sex-scene in the movie, which was apparently chopped off, so as to preserve the PG-13 rating. “That [scene] will be something for the special edition DVD, if you want to see how they have sex,” Cameron said.

The Titanic director James Cameron also said that Battle Angel is one of the projects he’s going to be considering when he decides what he’ll do next. He was asked if he were to do a sequel to Avatar, would it be after Battle Angel? He said, “Not necessarily, that’s part of the decision making process.” Even though James Cameron has said that there will be a sequel to Avatar, it remains to be seen if he would direct it also. Because prior to this James Cameron has only directed 2 movies in a row for the same production – Terminator and Terminator 2.

Avatar is a blockbuster hit. As in the first 10 days of release Avatar has made over $212 million in just the US. By conservative estimates the worldwide collection of Avatar could easily be over $1 billion. The opening weekend collection was $77.4 million and in the next weekend it was $75 million, which is just a miniscule drop of 3% from the opening weekend. Blockbusters typically drop 30-50 percent in the second weekend.
