Jake Gyllenhaal ‘Stands Up To Cancer’
July 15th, 2010 - 4:55 pm ICT by ANILondon, July 15 (ANI): American actor Jake Gyllenhaal has joined forces with America’s Major League Baseball (MLB) organization for a new cancer campaign.
The ‘Prince of Persia’ actor has filmed a public service announcement in association with MLB to highlight the work of the Stand Up To Cancer charity, reports the Daily Star.
“In baseball miracles can happen when a team works together. The same is true with the fight against cancer - that’s why MLB has teamed up with Stand Up To Cancer,” Gyllenhaal says in the video, shot in a baseball stadium.
“Because we believe that when we all stand up together we can make cancer history. This is beyond a dream. Stand up with MLB at standup2cancer.org,” he adds.
The public service announcement was broadcast during the MLB All-Star game in California. (ANI)
