Keeping Up With The Kardashians is back on its third season on E! The premiere is called “Free Khloe” and tells new viewers all that they need to know about the Kardashians. Khloe Kardashian (also on The Celebrity Apprentice now) has to spend a month in jail, and her family seems to react as if she has won a lottery of some sort. But mom Kris Kardashian is the only one with a semblance of normal reaction when she has an emotional breakdown.

The premiere puts Khloe on the forefront and viewers do not have a problem because Khloe is arguably the best Kardashian on the show. She does not think much about the jail time, to boot.

Sister Kourtney celebrates Khloe’s early release from jail by getting absolutely drunk in the premiere. Kim Kardashian is the narrator but one wonders, did viewers really need a narrator to understand the easy storyline? Brother Robert turns up briefly but goes back to his own separate world. Bruce Jenner gets to know about Khloe’s prison time and gives her a high-five.

Kris actually steals the show. Khloe’s sentence brings back memories of her now-dead husband and O.J. defender Robert Kardashian. She weeps through the show, wishing Robert had not passed away five years ago and wondering if he could circumvent the law like he did for O.J. The events only lead up to a moment at Robert’s grave where Bruce Jenner looks out of place, being married to a woman whose biggest regret is divorcing her ex-husband.
