Jade Goody to undergo kidney operation
January 3rd, 2009 - 12:53 am ICT by IANSLondon, Jan 2 (IANS) British reality TV star Jade Goody, who is suffering from cervical cancer, will undergo an emergency kidney operation.Doctors suspect her chemotherapy treatment has lowered her white blood count and weakened her immune system as tests Wednesday detected that she had a kidney problem, reports mirror.co.uk.
“We are hoping she can come out of hospital again quickly,” her agent said.
The continued illness forced the actress to pull out of the Lincoln Theatre Royal’s pantomime production of fairytale “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”. She was playing the wicked queen.
“She is really disappointed she can’t finish the pantomime but the operation needed to be done immediately,” said a close friend of Goody.
She will have the operation at the Royal Marsden Hospital in West London.
