On Tuesday reports surfaced that Jaclyn Smith, the Charlie’s Angels star had committed suicide in Islas de la Bahia, Honduras, where she usually spends her vacations. The report said that Smith had killed herself by shooting herself in the head. The reports were circulated in a Honduran newspaper.

The Hondurus newspaper had earlier reported that Smith was taken to San Pedro Sula Hospital in an aircraft, when she was found with a bullet wound in her head. But later these alleged reports were proved to be baseless when RadarOnline.com reported a message from Smith’s representative saying, “This is not true. I spoke with her this morning and she is at her house in Beverly Hills.”

After such baseless reports were circulated Smith made sure to make her presence felt, and to reassure her fans and other concerned people she wrote in Twitter, “Jaclyn is safe and home with her family. She is not in Honduras. It is a lie.”

Smith is famous as Kelly Garrett, one of the three female leads that she played in the television series Charlie’s Angels. She was the only original leading lady of the show to have remained with the series for its entire span of five years, from 1976 to 1981. Her recent endeavours include the hosting of a famous TV show, Bravo’s weekly.
