London, Sep 23 (IANS) The much-awaited documentary titled “This Is It” that shows footage from late King of Pop Michael Jackson’s rehearsals, will have simultaneous premieres next month in more than 15 cities worldwide.
The movie that has footage from Jackson’s rehearsals for the 50 shows he had planned to do here in July this year, before his untimely death in June, will hit the screens on Oct 27 and Oct 28, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
“Michael Jackson has an army of fans everywhere around the world. We are giving the audiences an incredible opportunity to join together in celebration of Michael Jackson’s incredible career,” Jeff Blake, Sony Pictures chairman, has been quoted as saying.
The movie will have a limited two-week run in theatres, and bosses at AEG Live, the concert company behind the footage, have decided to donate the majority of the film’s profits to the Jackson Family Trust.
