Michael Jackson London, May 1 (ANI): Michael Jackson has reportedly shed plans to travel to the UK fearing the swine flu epidemic.

The King of Pop was said to have planned a trip to Blighty to hunt for a temporary abode when he takes to the stage at London’s O2 arena from July until next February to perform 50 concerts.

But the 50-year-old, who allegedly dreads germs and bacteria and has been sporting surgical face masks for years, had decided to stay behind in LA following fears of catching the potentially deadly pandemic, as per sources.

“Michael doesn’t want to travel because of the worry surrounding the flu outbreak,” the Daily Express quoted a source as saying.

“He’s very particular about not catching germs anyway but he’s particularly wary of what’s going on right now.

“He has now got the best protective masks around and uses hand-sanitising gels. He is keeping up to date with all the latest worldwide news about the flu on the internet,” the source added.

The source continued: “He still wants to come over to view the properties but he’s monitoring the situation and has postponed travel for the time being.

“Of course if the situation improves and it looks to have died down he will travel over.” (ANI)
