Jackman raises $850,000 for charity
December 9th, 2011 - 4:05 am ICT by IANSLondon, Dec 9 (IANS) Hollywood heartthrob Hugh Jackman has raised more than $850,000 for charity through performances of his Broadway show.
The Australian actor is currently appearing in his one-man song and dance production, “Back on Broadway”, in New York and is raising funds for the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids campaign, reports contactmusic.com.
Jackman is urging his audience to make donations and auctioning off T-shirts he has worn on stage, which have made more than $10,000. He has successfully raised more than $857,740 with his efforts.
