Jackman breaks theatre records

London, Nov 2 (IANS) Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman’s new musical show has smashed one-week grosses at the Broadway theatre, Broadhurst.
The ticket sales for Jackman’s show have beaten previous records set by Billy Crystal’s “700 Sundays”, Jude Law’s “Hamlet” and “The Merchant of Venice”, starring Al Pacino, reports contactmusic.com.
Ticket sales for Jackman starrer “Back on Broadway” raked in over 750,000 pounds last week.
In the show, the “X-Men” star performs a personal selection of his favourite musical numbers accompanied by an 18-piece orchestra.
