Jackman bonded with Pattinson over karaoke
October 14th, 2011 - 6:57 pm ICT by IANSLos Angeles, Oct 14 (IANS) Actor Hugh Jackman struck an unlikely bond with Robert Pattinson during a trip to Japan. The “X-Men” star was promoting his 2008 movie “Australia” with director Baz Luhrmann when he found himself on the same flight to Japan as Pattinson, reports contactmusic.com.
“I didn’t talk to him (Pattinson) at all on the flight because he is this really tall guy with a hood over his head, literally, and every time I’d go to the bathroom (and pass him), I’d be like, ‘Man, that guy takes some serious sleeping pills’,” Jackman told MTV News.
Later Jackman reached out to Pattinson and invited him to join him for a night out - and he was blown away by the actor-singer’s vocal talent.
“We went out to this Japanese karaoke bar and we invited Rob, and he came. And it was so much fun. Man, he’s got a voice. Really soulful,” Jackman added.
