August 17th, 2011 - 9:52 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, Aug 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Hollywood legend Jackie Chan has been forced to deny another death hoax. The rumor of the famous martial artist’s death was started when a Facebook page titled “RIP Jackie Chan” was started. The page already has 67,000 followers.
On Tuesday, the rumor was trending on Twitter as well with several tweets expressing condolence. The spokesperson of the actor has come out clear about the rumor of the actor’s death. The spokesperson updated the Facebook page of the star.
Jackie Chan’s Facebook page had the message, “Jackie Chan is alive and well. He did not suffer a heart attack and die, as was reported on many social networking sites and in online news reports Chan is busy preparing for the filming his next movie.”
This is the second time in less than six months that the actor has been rumored to be dead. In March, the reps of the actor were again made to come out and deny a death rumor. Just like in this case, Chan’s spokesperson updated the actor’s Facebook and Twitter account to deny the rumor.
Several other celebrities including Bill Cosby, Morgan Freeman and others have all been the subject of death hoax in the past.
