London, Dec 3 (ANI): The jacket for James Bonds new literary makeover has been unveiled.

The jacket, which gives a peek-a-boo into the new story about the spy, has been made public by Penguin.

The book, Devil May Care is written by Sebastian Faulks, who took up where Ian Fleming, the original mastermind behind 007 left off four decades ago.

A blood-red flower with the sensuous silhouette of a naked Bond girl as its stem has been created on the jacket and the Bond girl depicted on the jacket is British model Tuuli Shipster.

Devil May Care is set during the Cold War. Bond is widowed and vulnerable but remains heroically gallant and libidinous.

The novel is due to be released on May 28, 2008, to mark the 100th anniversary of Fleming’s birth.

Faulkes said that he had written 80 per cent of his 007 novel in Flemings style.

I didnt go the final distance for fear of straying into pastiche, but I strictly observed his rules of chapter and sentence construction, Times Online quoted him, as saying.

Like other Bond novels, Devil May Care is also likely to appear on the big screen. (ANI)
