Arlington, Nov 4 (THAINDIAN NEWS) It is Sesame Street’s 40th birthday and it is being celebrated in style with the likes of the First Lady Michelle Obama and even Google being a part of it. Sesame Street’s 40th birthday has already rocked on the Internet, as it’s a much-searched topic on the Internet.
Celebrations are in the air. Michelle Obama is all set to star in the 40th season and will talk about the importance and benefits of planting a garden and eating healthy. Google has changed their logo to accommodate Big Bird’s leg as a mark of respect and honor towards the show. And to celebrate, Sesame Street’s website has been running a contest, where visitors can choose and then subsequently vote for their favorite episode, from the series record four-decade public television run.
Sesame Street is also promising to celebrate the anniversary with some changes, on their show too. “When you turn on your TV on November 10,” Executive Producer Carol-Lynn Parente said in a statement, “you’ll see a brand-new and spectacularly beautiful opening sequence. We’re also launching an entirely new format for the show — the magazine format of Sesame Street, which has been evolving over the years, has been officially replaced with what we’re calling a ‘block’ format. And it’s just wonderful.”

I just hope they don’t switch up the formula. My son loves cookie monster.
