According to the University of Southern California, Arnold Schwarzenegger will be the inaugural governor Downey professor of state and global policy. The former bodybuilder and California said that the institute would be dedicated towards promoting a new era of post-partisanship.
The former California governor is set to chair a board of advisors who comprise of political heavy weights such as the Mexican president Vicente Fox, former San Antonio mayor Henry Cisneros and former US secretary of state George Shultz. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s daughter graduated from the University of Southern California last year and has also served as commencement speaker for the university together with the former first lady Maria Shriver. His connections are what make him an ideal choice for coveted title of professor bequeathed on him by the University of Southern California.
The former California governor gained immense popularity in the entertainment industry due to his achievements in the filming industry. It’s imperative to note that the Schwarzenegger institute will focus on a range of issues such as economy, health, education, health and political reform.
