April 5, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Rohini Hattangdi, the Saas of Marathi-Hindi small screen industry is about to enter the “Karm Yudh’ on DD National. A source says, “Apart from Rohini Hattangdi, the actors like Harsh Chayya who was seen in Sony TV Sukh By Chance, Viashnavi better known as Geeta Vishwas of Shaktimaan.”
Adding about the show source informs, “Karm Yudh is the story of an inspirational, Political leader, essayed by Harsh Chayya and an upright dedicated police officer essayed by Vaishnavi. The ethos and nuances of the story is contemporary in nature. It’s a story of changing socio scenario, the mind-set of the people at large, the conflicts between the family and values of changing fortunes. As the title says it’s a war between Right and wrong.”
Source goes on, “The show will be directed by Kevel Sethi, Ravindra Gautam (Uttaran, Pavitra Rishta fame).”
We called Rohini Hattangdi and she says, “Once again I am essaying a role of a Mother-in-law “Saas’ (Laughs) but for a change, this time she will be always with a right person means her Daughter-in-law “Bahu’ who is a right cop and stands against her son who is a political leader. It’s about how I manage the house which is filled with two different people with exactly opposite profession.”
What made you to take this role? “Even though I am Mother-in-law in the show, it cannot be called as Saas-Bahu type serial because the basic concept revolves around two different professions and their respective responsibility. So this was something different for me. When I did the pilot, it was a weekly show but now it has changed to trice in a week, Thursday-Saturday. Otherwise handling three shows at a time is an impossible job.”
Lets see how does this show keeps itself away from Saas-Bahu drama.
