Venice, April 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The decision of the executives of the hit MTV show “Jersey Shore” to film the show in Italy seems to have been counter-productive. The show will be filmed in the country’s city of Florence and the Mayor of the city want to set the rules.

Mayor Matteo Renzi says the show would only be allowed in the city if the city’s culture is what is going to be portrayed. That means no filming of alcohol consumption will be allowed. If no compromise is reached, for the first time, viewers will be spared drinking of alcohol on the show. The mayor has also made it clear to the show’s executives that the city’s landmark buildings can’t be filmed.

Jersey Shore has grown to become one of the biggest shows in the United States. The show’s casts have been the subject of both hate and love. CNN’s Anderson Cooper recently blasted the show for paying outrageous wages to the casts. According to Cooper, paying the casts an average of a six figure sum to do what they do amounts to waste.
