Italian group blasts mob wives
April 21st, 2011 - 6:42 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattVenice, April 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) UNICO National has criticized the new VH1 show “Mob Wives.” The same Italian organization blasted MTV’s “Jersey Shore” show. This time around, the group has called the “Mob Wives” show a “thrash.”
They likened the show to Jersey Shore and revealed that they hope the show fails. According to the group, no one seems interested in watching the show. In an interview with the celebrity website TMZ, a rep of the group was quoted as saying that, “”We were mobsters and mafiosos with ‘The Sopranos,’ bimbos and buffoons with ‘Jersey Shore,’ and now we’re back where we started. It’s a disgrace.”
The group always have harsh words to describe shows and individuals that they disapprove of. In a previous statement about Jersey Shore and its casts, the group used the words “an embarrassment to the human race” to describe Snooki.
“Jersey Shore” does not seem to be the favourite show of Italians. The Mayor of Florence recently issued some set of rules for the producers of the show in order to film in the city. The producers will have to drop alcohol, nudity and add the culture of the city before they can film in the city.
