It is American Idol time again! The Top 3May 8th, 2009 - 2:33 am ICT by GD
The critical episode of American Idol was filled with loads of musical performances. However as the tradition of reality show demands, amidst all the glamour and the splendour, one participant has to leave the show on the day of results. Firstly Erin’s vacation seems to not have got over yet and her place was once more filled in by Adam Bryant.
But as for the results, 64 million votes had been cast, a record in itself, as this was the largest number of votes for a non-finale episode. Paula Abdul appeared for the first time on the American Idol stage. Season 5 alum Chris Daughtry was awarded a plaque certifying his first record as five-times platinum worldwide.
Now for the results. Ryan reminds us that the three who remain are going to visit their hometowns. Ryan takes no time in sending Kris to safety. Kris seems realy shocked, and it already seems tough for Allison. Adam is also safe says Ryan, and that leaves Allison and Danny to fight it out. Finally Danny is also declared safe, and Allison Iraheta, the 16-year-old red hair is the one who has to go.
With Allison gone, boys dominate the top 3. Adam Lambert, Danny Gokey and Kris Allen will fight it out in next episode, each having to sing two songs, one picked by the judges, the other, of their own choosing.
