June 4, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): S.A. Chandrasekhar’s films of yesteryears are famed for its powerfully appealing themes that revolved around societal issues. Some of his best masterpieces – “Sattam Oru Iruttarai’ and “Naan Sigappu Manithan’ turned to be the biggest milestones in the careers of Superstar Rajnikanth and Vijayakanth.

Now, is the time to make cosmetic changes to “Naan Sigappu Manithan’ as sources say that S.A. Chandrasekhar is planning to remake the film with his son Vijay playing the lead. Actor Vijay, who is desperately in need of a success, is going through various scripts to keep himself from stumbling. All his previous 6 films have flunked terribly at box office (Aadhi, Azhagiya Tamizh Magan, Kuruvi, Villu, Vettaikaran and recent release Sura).

As of now, the actor is busy shooting for the Tamil remake of “Bodyguard’ that is directed by Siddhique. Much prior to its release, he’ll kick-start his other film “Velayudham’ to be directed by Jeyam Raja.

When approached, S.A. Chandrasekar’s closer sources mentioned that it’s too early to reveal much about this project and they will soon make an official confirmation on it. This was said regarding the remake of “Naan Sigappu Manithan’.

It looks like S.A. Chandrasekhar will produce the film under his home banner and will hand over the direction to the another filmmaker.
