Los Angeles, Mar 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) There are mounting speculations that the Titanic star Kate Winslet split from her husband Sam Mendes, because of Rebecca Hall. There are reports that she was frustrated with their close friendship, as they working together on theatre productions. It has also been reported that the 27 years old Rebecca Hall has provided Sam Mendes ‘a shoulder to cry on’, as his marriage is going to the dogs.

“When Kate found out that Sam had grown close to Rebecca she was upset. Rebecca is totally Sam’s type - a thespian mix of brains and beauty”, according to a source who is close to Kate Winslet. The source also adds that the 44 years old Sam Mendes said to Kate Winslet, that he wasn’t satisfied with just one relationship in his life.

The London based law firm – Shillings, had announced that the couple amicably split earlier this year, but refused to give a more precise time frame, about it. It is also not known if the legalities of the split have begun, or they are still in the pipeline. The Oscar winner Kate Winslet and the noted director Sam Mendes got married in 2003, and also have a son together. The law firm said in a statement to the media that the split was “entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement. Both parties are fully committed to the future joint parenting of their children”.
