Is Naomie Harris the new Bond girl?
June 7th, 2011 - 8:40 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, June 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The next James Bond movie is currently being worked on and reports say Naomie Harris is in line to play the next Bond Girl. The movie has only been titled “Bond 23.”
British newspaper News of the World was the first to report the star being considered for a main role in the movie. Entertainment Weekly’s report on Monday was in sync with the earlier report quoting a source close to the production as saying that the actress has met the movie’s production and talks were still ongoing.
Daniel Craig has been confirmed for the lead role of the movie. If Harris ends up with playing the Bond Girl, she will play alongside Craig. This will be Craig’s third James Bond movie having played “Quantum of Solace” in 2008 and “Eva Green” much earlier in 2006.
Harris is best known for her roles in the hugely successful franchise “Pirates of the Caribbean” having appeared in two of the movies. Craig also has a busy schedule this year. “Bond 23” is not the only project that Craig will be involved in because he has already signed to be on “Cowboys and Aliens” next month and later appear on “Dream House” with his girlfriend Rachel Weisz.
