Is Mariah Carey To Replace Cheryl Cole on ‘X Factor’?
October 25th, 2010 - 11:17 pm ICT by Angela Kaye MasonOct 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Although Simon Cowell has not yet made any official announcement as to who he will choose for the members of the ‘X Factor’ judges’ panel, rumors in the industry say that Cheryl Cole is being seen as a loose cannon and will be replaced by none other than Mariah Carey.
Simon’s words seem to hint at as much, but he would not verify the choices which have been made as of yet. The ‘Mirror’ is reporting that Simon has decided that he cannot risk losing audience members just to have his long time friend, Cheryl with him, and therefore he has chosen Mariah.
Cowell did state “Look, I’ve said I’d love Cheryl out there but whether it will happen, who knows? Mariah Carey would be an amazing addition to the US show. And she’s exactly the right caliber of star that we want for the show. I can’t say more because it’s too early and I can’t say. But there will be surprises.”
