May 29, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Speculations about Keanu Reeves dating Charlize Theron are running high after they were caught sharing a series of intimate kisses and hugs outside a restaurant in Beverly Hills.

The couple, who have played lovers in the 2001 tearful romantic drama Sweet November and spouses in 1997 thriller-horror The Devil’s Advocate, quickly parted after realizing that they are being photographed.

Theron, who broke up from longtime boyfriend Stuart Townsend in January this year was said to have had a great time with Reeves in the restaurant. According to the reports they were seen immersed in each other’s conversation and disturbed people sitting on other tables with their constant laughter.

Reeves had expressed his desire of getting married and having children in past, but his life was struck by tragedy twice. His girlfriend, Jennifer Syme was killed in a car crash in 2001, two years after she gave birth to a stillborn daughter. He dated independent movie actress Parker Posey but it did not got further. Posey was later seen with graphic designer and sculptor Scott Lenhardt in New York.

If the speculations of their romance turn out to be true, it will be a classic example of life imitating art.
