New York City, July 29 (THAINDIAN NEWS) We have all been wondering who the new American Idol judge will be, after it became public that Simon Cowell will not be continuing his role as judge on the American Idol panel.

Reports indicate Jessica Simpson may be the next in line to replace Simon Cowell after having several talks with the show’s producers to fill the void. The 30 hear old Hollywood singer has apparently already held meetings with Simon Fuller, who is the show’s creator and producer. There are also reports that there is ‘mutual interest’ from both the groups regarding the judge position.

Sources indicate the show’s team are really fond of Simpson and think she’ll be perfect for the role. The only challenge now will be where to position her on the show. She’s very different from Cowell and can’t take Cowell’s place on the show fully.

There are going to be many changes in the show with additional judges who will speak their opinions. Recently Justin Timberlake and Chris Isaak have been speculated to being lined up to be judges on the show. Until the show starts, there would be a lot of speculation about Simon Cowell’s successor.
