Los Angeles, Feb 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Chris Meloni, who has climbed to fame with his spectacular performance in the drama series of NBC, “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” also known as SVU, has reportedly decided to end his association with the series. The reports of Chris Meloni’s decision to end his tenure with the series have surfaced in one of the Australian media and have disappointed his fans. Though some reports are indicating that the actor, who had spent over a decade with this series, has planned to end his term with it, the officials have not yet made any comments.
It has been reported that season twelve of “Law & Order: Special Victim Unit” will be the final season of Chris Meloni in the role of Detective Eliot Stabler as he had reportedly decided to discontinue this project. As per the reports, Chris Meloni was an integral part of the series and has been associated with it since it had premiered in the year 1999. Therefore, his sudden decision to depart from the show is also anticipated to affect the popularity of the show.
The reports of some sources indicate that the actor considers that “12 years is enough” for him to act in the same role and above all he is unaware of the fact whether his character in the “Law & Order: Special Victim Unit” would remain alive, after the season ends. It has been indicated by some sources that the writers might plan to introduce some new characters into the show so that the attraction of the viewers holds good, even if he quits the show.
