Is Britney Back?

Britney Spears Her Circus tour which kick-starts in New Orleans on Tuesday, the 3rd of March is something that is being waited for with baited breath. Does Britney still have it? Will she still prove to be the live-wire? Will fans still lend their support? Will the two-year long professional break, during which she has been in the news for only shocking scandals related to her personal life, take a toll??

All these questions and more will be answered shortly once the much-awaited Circus tour that Larry Rudolph, her personal manager has been preparing for in the interim is on the floor. The latest numbers from her album such as Womanizer and If You Seek Amy are certainly a hit on the charts, but the acid-test would be the live performance. If she can’t pull it off there, it would be a huge set-back for the singer.

Sources say that Spears has been working hard to put her best foot forward for the show, the theme of which is a circus and is supposed to include besides the usual fare of hot dance moves and songs, magic tricks as well as a stage with three circus rings, in keeping with the title chosen for the tour.

Despite the difficult monetary state, tickets for the 31-city tour have seen a good sale, which is a promising start to say the least.

A friend of Britney’s told the People magazine, “She missed singing and performing and the freedom of that. It gives her an escape and it’s what she loves to do, so she’s definitely thankful to be doing that again.” The singer’s 2004 tour was canceled owing to a knee injury she got during a video shoot, which allowed her a lot of time with ex-beau Kevin Federline.

Her rendition of Womanizer on Good Morning America in December was certainly promising. Here’s hoping that the Circus tour is a success for the sakes of both the singer and her fans.
