Is Bon Jovi planning to run for New Jersey Governor?
November 14th, 2007 - 10:31 pm ICT by adminNew York, November 14 (ANI): Rocker Jon Bon Jovi may be planning to contest gubernatorial elections from New Jersey, if speculations are to be believed.
It is said that the musician is keeping his house in Red Bank, even though he and his family has moved to SoHo, because of the same purpose.
Bon Jovi’s regular appearances at fund-raisers for Democrats like Al Gore and John Kerry is also being seen as part of his strategy to seek election to the Governor’s office in future.
What has further strengthened the grapevine is the hiring of public relations guru Ken Sunshine, who was once the chief of staff for ex-Mayor David Dinkins, by Bon Jovi.
Sunshine has, however, denied that the rocker has any political plans.
“Jon has been approached many times about running for office,” the New York Post quoted him as saying.
“His day job is going too well, and this way he can keep the house,” he added. (ANI)
