May 8, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson starrer action flick ‘Iron Man 2′ has been released worldwide. The movie generated enough pre-release buzz and the expectation of the fans of the franchisee are quite high. It will be an acid test for director Jon Favreau as well. The trade analysts are predicting that the sequel to “Iron Man” will do extremely good business at the domestic and international box office. The film may gross $400 million at the domestic box office alone as it is being expected. Even the opening weekend collection of the film is expected to be as good as that of ‘The Dark Knight’. However, the famous film reviews and rating site Rotten Tomatoes has given it a 69 percent rating which is not very good.

The viewers, who liked the high octane action sequences in the first movie in the franchisee, will get more of the adrenaline rushing actions in the sequel. It is definitely over-the-top and the pace of the film is quite fast. Tony Stark, played with aplomb by Robert Downey Jr. is impressive and suave as ever. The character is somewhat megalomaniac but his acts evoke excitement and keep the viewers glued to their seats. It is all CGI but even then immensely enjoyable. To add spice to the aggressive action sequences, the suave spy Scarlett Johansson is there. Her cool acts and actions definitely add to the oomph of the film.

There was a rumor of a supposed cold war between her and the other lead actress Gwyneth Paltrow. The latter however has refused that there was any rivalry between her and the other lady.
