Imagine something new: NDTV IMAGINE is now IMAGINE TV
February 25th, 2010 - 12:10 pm ICT by Sampurn Wire
“NDTV Imagine’, which is known for its famous shows like ‘Ramayan’, ‘Bandini’, “Pati Patni aur Woh’, and “Jyoti’, will no more be called the same as it has been taken over by major broadcasting company, Turner.
The US media giant has entered in an agreement with NDTV to acquire a majority stake in the GEC, for Rs. 546 crore to be more precise. The deal is said to help the Indian media group turn debt-free and enter into wider horizons of media business. Last year NDTV had sold its Lifestyle channel’s majority stake to US based Scripps Networks and now Turner has gone ahead to acquire its entertainment channel. So now all those who are hooked on to NDTV IMAGINE will now see a little change on their television screens, i.e. the logo of channel. Instead of NDTV IMAGINE flickering on top of their screens, audiences will see the logo of “IMAGINE TV’.
In a nutshell, viewers can expect a new layout and a fresh look on the channel, but be assured, your favourite stars on your favourite shows will surely continue to entertain you as of now.
