Bangalore, Aug 26 (IANS) Multilingual actress Chaya Singh has denied rumours of her impending marriage with a Hyderabad-based businessman saying she is so busy with her film assignments and reality show that she can’t think about settling down.
“I’m surprised how the media got to know about my marriage, when I’m not even thinking about it. I’m too busy to think about marriage. I have loads of work to do,” Chaya, who is also judging a reality show on the Zee TV, told IANS.

The actress, who has worked in Tamil movies like “Thiruda Thirudi” and “Jaysurya”, came to know about marriage rumours when her journalist friends started calling to congratulate her.

“Initially I did not know anything about my marriage rumours that appeared on some websites. But when some of my journalist friends from Bangalore and Chennai called up to congratulate me, I was in for a shock. I don’t know who gave such news to websites, which published it without contacting me. For two to three days, I was flooded with calls and I kept denying it,” she said.

“I’m not really thinking about marriage. I have to finish my Tamil film ‘Anthapuraththu Veedu’. I have finished working in a Malayalam film. I have also signed a few Bengali films. I’m also talking to some Bengali producers for new offers. If I decide to get married, I will go with my parents’ decision… they have supported me so much.”

Chaya also wanted to direct a film called “Gandhi Bazaar”, but has now given up her plans as she can’t find a producer.

“I had a wonderful script in ‘Gandhi Bazaar’. But what can I do if I don’t get a good producer for this project? I had even contacted a few corporates who showed some interest in the project. But they have now gone back because of recession,” she said.
