I’m nearing a nervous breakdown: Duffy
September 29th, 2008 - 2:11 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )London, Sep 29 (IANS) Welsh singer Duffy reveals that she is on the verge of a nervous breakdown because she is unable to handle her meteoric rise to fame.The 24-year-old singer shot to fame with her hit single “Mercy”, reports thesun.co.uk.
She said: “I thought I was superhuman. But there are pressures about being in the public eye. I’m borderline on a nervous breakdown. I’m never calm any more. I think: ‘Can I handle this? Do I want to disappear?’”
Duffy, who spends 80 percent of her time in the US, added: “It would be very easy to become a recluse.”
