New Delhi, April 16 (IANS) The heat wave is making Delhiites uneasy, but actress Vidya Balan, who is shooting here for “Who Killed -Jessica”, is unperturbed and says she is enjoying the heat.
“To be honest, I was a bit terrified when I was told that we will be shooting in Delhi for the film during this period because I had heard that it is extremely hot in Delhi. But since the time I’m shooting, I’ve been quite comfortable and haven’t faced any hassle because of the temperature,” said Vidya.
“Its just that we all keep drinking lots of water and carry on with our work,” said the 32-year-old who was given the woman achiever in acting at the FICCI-YFLO Annual Women Achiever’s Award ceremony Friday.
“Thank you for giving me this opportunity that really has me speechless. To receive an award alongside such women achievers is very humbling. It’s not just an award for acting but for my performance in ‘Paa’,” said Vidya who came in a white sari to the function.
“This means that this award is for the changing face of Indian women in cinema. This award is very special to me,” she added.
Other awardees included politician Priya Dutt, fashion designer Monisha Jaisingh and dancer Rama Vaidyanathan, among others.
“Who Killed -Jessica” also stars Rani Mukerji.
