Washington, Aug 11 (ANI): American actress Julia Roberts is very strict with her children when it comes to eating sweets.

The 42-year-old actress may have gained 7 pounds from eating bowls of spaghetti, gelato and decadent desserts in Rome while filming for her new movie Eat Pray Love, but she doesn’t expect to find her three children eating rich sugary foods at home.

“I’m a pretty strict mom when it comes to sweets. Even though I have such a sweet tooth myself,” People Magazine quoted the Oscar winning actress at the Eat Pray Love premiere in New York City.

Roberts admitted that she only allows twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 5, and son Henry, 3, to eat candy and junk food on special occasions.

“You want sweets, ice cream and cake to be a great treat and a celebration. Something that’s not everyday. I think this makes them appreciate it when they do have it, Roberts said.

“She’s an unbelievably devoted mom. She’s in every scene of this film, and every time we cut for lunch, she went back to her kids and have lunch with them everyday. She’s always happier on her way to see them, and the kids would light up when they saw her. She’s the best,” Eat Pray Love co-star Richard Jenkins said.

But the ‘Pretty Woman’ actress doesn’t follow the same rules with herself.

“I’m not strict with myself. I cheat,” she said. (ANI)
