Iliza Shlesinger, the first female winner of the NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” was interviewed on the Howard Stern show as the latest finding of a reality TV show.
Iliza recently toured with the other finalists of the show and revealed to Stern that the other male comedians from the show did not really talk to her much and seemed to detest the fact that she won $250,000 on the show. On asked if there was any romance backstage, Iliza said no one hit on her and that she is still single. Stern asked if she liked girls and Iliza absolutely rubbished it and said she hates hugging her girlfriends too.
Iliza said she used to work at a strip club prior to beginning college because she needed money. But she clarified she was never dancing. Her job was to check coats and she had never taken off her own clothes at the club. She did say she had learned a thing or two from the girls on stage.
About her future plans Iliza said she was already doing her own online talk show at TheStream.tv and that she hoped to move on to bigger and better things soon.
About the depressing recession she said, “You have to be happy in the first place. Otherwise, it makes people more miserable. … Look at all the celebrities that are depressed or on drugs. You can find happiness in simple things. For me, it’s a cup of coffee or her favorite perfume or being able to talk with her parents.
